About the event

The American Legion Sauls-Bridges Post 13 invites the Tallahassee community to join us for a U.S. Flag Retirement/Disposal Ceremony—a respectful, public service event where worn or unserviceable American flags are retired with dignity and honor.

This ceremony is held periodically by Post 13 to ensure our nation’s flag is handled properly when it is no longer fit for display. If you have an American flag that is faded, frayed, torn, or otherwise unserviceable, please bring it with you and we will ensure it is retired in accordance with accepted ceremonial practices.
