Sue Boyd

In 1979 “country” hit the dancing world. Sue began teaching classes and has been teaching ever since. Sue’s wish for country western teaching has been to concentrate on developing technique. She also feels that dancing should offer something for everyone and that no one should be excluded. Sue teaches a variety of dances such as Two-Step, several different Swings, Night Club, and Waltz. There is always time for social dances as well that are taught during the year including dances such as Wild-Wild-West and the ever familiar Cotton-Eye-Joe.

Director of the Southern National Dance Competition since 1987, Sue became very involved in team production and was instrumental in developing the team rules. Her team the Rug Cutters was number one for several years. Sue has also been inducted into the United Country Western Dance Council (UCWDC) Hall of Fame.

Everyone is made to feel welcome, even if they walk in off the street. Sue believes we need to pay attention to our customers and what they want so that we will be able to offer them the best of what she has to offer.
